Our organization takes pride in being the only enterprise in the Šiauliai region predominantly employing individuals with visual impairments. Our journey began in 1953 when pioneering blind workers, led by visionaries Petras Žalis and Julius Balius, initiated the production of plywood packaging for the “Elnias” factory. This marked the establishment of the Panevėžys Production Training Factory, forming part of the Lithuanian Blind Union’s (LAD) branch in Šiauliai.
In 1956, the LAD Šiauliai Production Training Factory was formally established. By 1960, with the financial backing of the LAD association, we built our first production facility in Šiauliai, a foundational legacy that continues to support our operations today.
In 1989, we rebranded as LASS Šiauliai Company. A structural reorganization in 2005 led us to transition into a Public Institution named “Aksida.” Through this evolution, we have continued our successful endeavors and operations, remaining committed to empowering our workforce and advancing our mission.
We continuously seek new team members and are committed to creating job opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We warmly encourage candidates with visual or physical impairments to submit resumes.
